Fisher FC is now owned and run by the Fisher Supporters’ Trust. A Supporter’s Trust is a democratic, not-for-profit organisation of supporters that provides a set of rules by which the club must be run. These rules ensure that full members of the Trust have a direct say in who makes up the board of the club, and that the club is democratically run for the good of the community.

The club currently play in the Kent Premier League which is step 5 of the non-league pyramid and step 9 of the entire English football pyramid.

Fisher were elected to the Spartan League in 1974 and won back-to-back championships in 1980-81 and 1981-82. The latter season coincided with a move to the purpose-built Surrey Docks Stadium.

Having gone through a number of incarnations, ‘The Fish’, as they are affectionately known are now constituted as a not-for-profit co-operative organisation, they have made huge strides since forming in 2009 in succession to the former Fisher Athletics FC.

"We have achieved a huge amount in the last three years: we’ve developed a competitive first team with ambitions for promotion, have just launched a Bermondsey-based football academy, improved our links with the local community including donating shirt sponsorship to ‘Downside Fisher Youth Club’ and ‘Time and Talents’ this season, and we are making progress in our plans to get back to Bermondsey." Ben Westmancott, Chairman

Fisher FC are a supporter owned and run football club originating from the same Bermondsey roots as the Downside Fisher Youth Club in Bermondsey, in the London Borough of Southwark. In 1908 Fisher Catholic Club for Boys and Young Men founded by Mr Norman Potter as a club for Catholic working boys and young men. It was named the Fisher Club in memory of St John Fisher. It was supported by the Fisher Society – the Catholic Society at Cambridge University – and staffed entirely by volunteers.
