FAMILY FUN SESSIONS
CHILD ADMISSION POLICY
This policy is to ensure that swimmers remain safe during family swim sessions. The policy sets out the adult to child ratios, determined by age, swimming ability and the use of buoyancy aids.
An adult is someone aged 18 and above. The adult needs to be capable of providing sufficient supervision for the child/children, unless they are aged 8 and above.
Children Aged 0-7 years

* Accepted buoyancy aids are either inflatable arm bands or an inflatable baby seat. Flotation garments, vests, rings or floats which are held with the hands are not accepted
Families who do not meet the adult to child ratios will be refused entry.
Children Aged 8 and over
Non-swimmers (stage 3 and below) can swim in the pool without direct supervision, but must have an adult present on poolside. The child must not pass beyond the ‘non-swimmers’ demarcation line.
Swimmers (stage 4 and above) can swim without an adult present on poolside.
Young Person Aged 16-17
No adult supervision required. Non-swimmers must not pass beyond the ‘non-swimmers’ demarcation line.
Adult Swimmers (aged 18+)
No adults permitted unless accompanying children to the session
