Support The Downside Fisher Youth Club As a charity we depend almost exclusively on the
generous donations we receive from individuals
(particularly Old Gregorians and Worth School
alumni), trusts and companies.
Southwark is one of the most deprived boroughs
in the country, which means that the majority of
children and young people in the borough are
disadvantaged in some way. This is why the
facilities, programmes and support offered by the
Downside Fisher Youth Club are of such vital
importance to the local community. We are fortunate to own our building with its
extensive sporting and recreational facilities,
which was constructed in the 1970s and
renovated extensively in 1999-2000. However,
maintaining the building to the required
standards has significant associated costs. And
we need to raise funds to ensure that we have
sufficient members of staff to run our structured
sporting and educational programmes. We need your support and value all contributions
that make it possible for disadvantaged young
people in Southwark to have access to the
sporting, recreational facilities and educational
programmes provided by the Downside Fisher
Youth Club.
